Zimbabwean Student Dies in Accident Shortly After Graduating in India – The Zimbabwean student community in India is mourning the death of Onward Njani, a recent graduate of Galgotias University, who reportedly died in an accident.
Njani, who was part of the Class of 2026, had graduated from the Indian university last month.
The Zimbabwe Student Representative Council (SRC) at Galgotias University confirmed his death in an official condolence message, describing the news as a profound shock to the Zimbabwean student community.

“The news of his passing has come as a great shock to us all,” the SRC said, extending its condolences to Njani’s family, friends, classmates and everyone who knew him.
The SRC described Njani as more than just a member of the student community, noting that he was a son, brother and friend whose life touched many people around him.
It called on Zimbabwean students to stand together and support one another while respecting the privacy and wishes of Njani’s family during this difficult period.
“Though his life has been cut short, his memory will remain with us,” the SRC said.
The student body also prayed for strength and comfort for Njani’s family and loved ones as they come to terms with the loss.
