Zimbabwean Rapper Nadia Nakai Claps Back at Critics Over Revealing Outfit – South African-based Zimbabwean rapper Nadia Nakai has revealed she is not on social media for outfit policing.

The 34-year-old musician, whose full name is Nadia Kandava, recently came under fire after performing at Disoufeng Pub in Meadowlands, Soweto, on April 18, wearing a bold outfit that exposed part of her backside.

The look, which she also shared on social media, sparked a wave of backlash — particularly on X (formerly Twitter), where critics labeled her a bad role model.

But Nadia hit back in a fiery TikTok video, making it clear that she’s unapologetic about her fashion choices.

“I will wear what I want to wear. I’ve always been that girl,” she said.

“I don’t understand the outrage. I named my album Nadia Nak£d and even my makeup line is called Nak£d Without. How are you still shocked?”

She added, “You’re going to see more. Get over it.”

Nadia also addressed those who brought her late boyfriend AKA’s daughter, Kairo, into the conversation, accusing her of being a poor influence.

“Don’t bring Kairo into this,” she said firmly. “She’s a child. She’s not scrolling through Instagram. She’s under adult supervision. Stop being dumb.”

Ending her rant with her usual boldness, she said: “Until I have kids of my own, I’ll have these bums out. Let me live.”
