Zimbabwean Man Fatally Hit Twice by Ford Ranger in Romantic Feud

SOUTH AFRICA- Emmanuel Mahamba, a Zimbabwean national originally from Mvuma, was killed on Saturday in Rivonia, Johannesburg.
The incident reportedly stemmed from a romantic dispute involving a Ugandan man over a woman both were romantically involved with.
Witnesses stated the suspect, described as wearing white during the incident, hit Mahamba twice with a Ford Ranger during the confrontation.
Emergency services arrived, but Mahamba was pronounced dead at the scene.
Photos shared on Crime Watch’s official Twitter handle allegedly depict the suspect, the victim, and the woman at the centre of the dispute, though authorities have not verified their authenticity.
The woman’s identity remains undisclosed.
Johannesburg Metro Police have launched a murder investigation and are pursuing leads to locate the suspect. “This incident involving foreign nationals is under investigation, and we are committed to ensuring justice is served,” said a police spokesperson.
The Zimbabwean community in Johannesburg has expressed grief and sorrow over the tragedy, emphasizing the importance of peaceful coexistence among immigrant groups in South Africa.
Friends and family of Mahamba have shared tributes on social media, mourning his sudden and violent death.
Authorities have appealed to the public for any information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts.
