Zimbabwe Air Force Instructor Killed in Fighter Jet Crash – The Air Force of Zimbabwe (AFZ) has announced the tragic death of Instructor Squadron Leader Chidyausiku, who perished in a fighter jet crash during a routine training exercise at Josiah Magama Tongogara Airbase.

The trainee pilot involved in the exercise also succumbed to injuries shortly after the incident.

The aircraft reportedly went down shortly after takeoff.

An official investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash.

The incident has ignited public concern and criticism regarding the safety of Zimbabwe’s military aircraft, many of which are believed to be outdated.

Eyewitnesses reported unusual sounds from the aircraft moments before it crashed near Lalapanzi.

Funeral arrangements will be made public once the families have been officially informed.
