ZERA Lowers Diesel & Petrol Prices in Latest Fuel Price Review

ZERA Lowers Diesel & Petrol Prices in Latest Fuel Price Review – The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has announced a further reduction in fuel prices, with the new rates taking effect from 8 July 2026 and remaining in force for the next two weeks.

In a statement, ZERA said the maximum pump price for Diesel 50 has been reduced to ZWG50.37 per litre or US$1.87 per litre, while Blend E20 will now retail at ZWG51.83 per litre or US$1.93 per litre.

The latest prices are lower than those announced on 19 June 2026, when Diesel 50 was pegged at ZWG53.26 (US$1.99) per litre and Blend E20 at ZWG53.00 (US$1.98) per litre.

ZERA said the revised prices would remain effective for a period of two weeks.

“The petroleum prices are effective from 08 July 2026 for a period of two weeks. Government interventions continue to cushion consumers from the impact of global geopolitical developments,” the authority said.

The regulator also reminded fuel operators and consumers that the blending ratio remains at E20.

“The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio is at E20. Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations,” ZERA said.

The authority further urged stakeholders to verify all official fuel price announcements through its recognised communication platforms.

“Stakeholders are advised that the petroleum price releases by ZERA can be verified on the official ZERA website, Facebook or Twitter handle,” the statement said.
