World’s Oldest Man 112 Dies
The world mourns the passing of John Alfred Tinniswood, the world’s oldest living man, who died peacefully at 112 on Monday in his Southport care home.
A lifelong Liverpool FC fan, Tinniswood achieved global recognition in April when he became the world’s oldest man following the death of Juan Vicente Pérez Mora.
Born in 1912, the year the Titanic sank, John lived a remarkable life. A Royal Army Pay Corps veteran of World War II, he married his beloved wife, Blodwen, in 1942, and together they shared 44 years before her passing.
Post-war, he worked as an accountant before retiring in 1972, embracing an active life as a church elder and sermon-giver. World’s Oldest Man 112 Dies
