Woman Survives Throat Slashing by Ex-Boyfriend

NIGERIA – A young woman narrowly escaped death after her ex-boyfriend slashed her throat with a sharp knife she had earlier sharpened to prepare a meal.

The incident occurred in the victim’s room, where her ex-boyfriend unexpectedly entered and attacked her.

According to the victim, who shared her harrowing experience on TikTok, her ex-boyfriend used the sharp knife to slit her throat.

“I had sharpened the knife earlier that day to cut a chicken. My ex-boyfriend came into my room and slit my throat with a very sharp knife. I know it’s sharp because I had sharpened it earlier that day when I was cutting chicken,” she recounted.

The victim also expressed gratitude to her landlord, saying, “My room is directly opposite my landlord’s room. Luckily, by God’s grace, my landlord returned home that night to change his shoes before heading out again. Before he could leave, he heard a commotion in my room and decided to check. That’s how my landlord saved me — he was God-sent.”

The motive behind the ex-boyfriend’s actions remains unclear, but the incident has sparked widespread concern and outrage.
