Woman Caught Red-Handed Sending Street Kids to Steal Wigs

Woman Caught Red-Handed Sending Street Kids to Steal Wigs – A Harare woman has been exposed as the mastermind behind a syndicate using street kids to snatch wigs from unsuspecting women, reselling them at bargain prices.

The shocking revelation came after a young woman fell victim to a wig-snatching incident near the Chitungwiza Road flyover.

While she was unable to retrieve her wig at the time, a chance encounter with a street kid later led her to the culprit.

According to the victim’s mother, who shared the story online, her daughter was walking in town when a group of street kids yanked her wig off her head and ran away.

The distressed woman even offered money in exchange for her hairpiece, but the thief disappeared into a nearby ditch.

Left with no choice, she continued with her day.

Hours later, she came across a hungry street boy and shared some food with him.

The boy, feeling grateful, revealed that he knew about the wig theft.

He explained that the stolen wigs were quickly resold to a woman known as “Mhamha Dred,” a hairdresser operating behind the Copacabana public toilets.

With the boy’s help, the woman managed to track down the wig thief, who reluctantly led her to “Mhamha Dred.”

Upon confrontation, the woman did not deny having the stolen wig but demanded $10 for its return, claiming she had already paid the kids. Desperate to reclaim her property, the victim paid up.

However, what “Mhamha Dred” didn’t realize was that the entire interaction was being secretly recorded.

The video has since sparked outrage online, with many women expressing fear over the growing trend of wig snatching in Harare’s CBD.

Reports indicate that syndicates are operating in partnership with shady hairstylists who buy stolen wigs for resale.

“This is traumatizing! Some of these wigs cost hundreds of dollars, yet they are being resold for as little as $2,” a Harare woman lamented.

With the video evidence circulating, many are calling on authorities to take action against “Mhamha Dred” and her network of wig-snatching street kids.
