Winky D Steps In to Cover Hospital Expenses for Marabha’s Former Wardmate

Zimbabwean music icon Winky D has come forward to assist Prince Ngoni Kelvin, the former wardmate of late comedian Marabha, by covering his medical expenses.

Kelvin, who was hospitalized alongside Marabha before his passing, expressed immense gratitude in a heartfelt Facebook post, acknowledging the overwhelming support he has received during his illness.

Winky D, together with his manager Yusofu Mwalimu Banda, has taken responsibility for Kelvin’s medication, food and hospital costs.

They have also arranged for a private nurse to visit him every Wednesday.

Kelvin confirmed this, writing, “Mkoma Winky D DiBigman and Mkoma Yusofu Mwalimu Banda vakabva vatora hurwere hwangu kuisa mumawoko avo kubva kumishonga, food and also vabva vanditsvagira private nurse sisi Memo vanouya kuzondishanyira every Wednesday.”

As reported by iHarare, Winky D’s Vigilance team members, including fitness trainer Rhodesia King and producer Saka Bobo, have also provided continuous support.

Given the strict visitor restrictions at the hospital, they ensure to call ahead before visiting.

Kelvin highlighted their efforts, stating, “Rhodesia King and Saka BoBo protecting my privacy vanoda kundishanyira vanofonera ivavo vopihwa permission to see me as am in a bad state saka vakati no visitors allowed at the moment.”

Kelvin also extended his appreciation to Zimbabweans and various support groups, including Cape Town social leagues, club owners and players, for their generosity.

He acknowledged the collective effort, noting how their kindness has uplifted him during a difficult period.

This act of goodwill reinforces Winky D’s reputation not only as a celebrated musician but also as a compassionate figure committed to helping those in need.
