Wicknell Chivayo Offers Financial Assistance to Coach Rambo Following Road Accident – Businessman and philanthropist Sir Wicknell Chivayo has come to the aid of popular Zimbabwean lifesaver and social media personality Coach Rambo after an appeal for financial assistance towards his medical expenses circulated on social media.
The appeal sought US$8,600 to cover Coach Rambo’s hospital bills following a serious road traffic accident. In response, Chivayo pledged to assist with the medical costs, easing the financial burden on the injured social media personality and his family.
Coach Rambo was involved in a road accident in Norton while riding his motorcycle towards Harare. According to eyewitnesses, a commuter omnibus allegedly veered into his lane, resulting in a collision.

He was initially taken to a medical facility in Norton before being transferred to Harare, where he is receiving specialist treatment.
In an update, family members and close associates confirmed that Coach Rambo is in a stable condition and responding well to treatment after sustaining head injuries and a cracked rib.
“Coach Rambo is in a stable condition after being involved in a road accident. He sustained head injuries and a cracked rib and is currently receiving medical treatment in Harare,” the family said.
They also dismissed false reports circulating on social media claiming that Coach Rambo had died.
“Please ignore the false reports circulating on social media claiming that Coach Rambo has passed away. These reports are not true. Let us continue to support him and wish him a full and speedy recovery,” the family added.
Supporters, friends and well-wishers have continued to send messages of encouragement and prayers as Coach Rambo focuses on his recovery.
