Wicknell Chivayo introduces girlfriend Lulu Muteke to President Mnangagwa ahead of lobola ceremony – Businessman and philanthropist Wicknell Chivayo met with President Emmerson Mnangagwa ahead of his highly anticipated lobola ceremony for his fiancée, Lulu Muteke, today.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Chivayo shared his excitement about the special encounter, describing it as a moment of great honor and significance.

“Yesterday, on my way to church, I had the GREATEST pleasure and distinct honor of introducing my soon-to-be wife to HIS EXCELLENCY, the President,” he wrote.

Chivayo expressed his delight that his fiancée hails from the esteemed Shumba clan, joking that this makes him a mukwasha (son-in-law) to the President himself. He recounted the lighthearted exchange with Mnangagwa, who humorously asked if he was sure about marrying his “daughter.”

According to Chivayo, President Mnangagwa warmly welcomed Lulu as a member of the Shumba royal lineage and shared words of wisdom on love, respect, and commitment in marriage. The businessman revealed that the Head of State gave him “standing orders” to love his wife unconditionally for life—a directive he vowed to follow.

Chivayo also expressed deep gratitude to the President for blessing their union, calling the moment a solid foundation for their future together.
