A Unique In-Flight Experience: Celebrating Zimbabwean Culture
For Chivayo, flying isn’t just about luxury—it’s about embracing Zimbabwean identity at 45,000 feet. He wants his private jet crew to reflect Zimbabwean heritage, ensuring that passengers feel at home in the sky.
His ideal crew should be fluent in Shona, appreciate Zimbabwean music legends like Jah Prayzah and Thomas Mapfumo, and be able to serve traditional dishes such as sadza ne mabhonzo while in flight.
“Flying should feel like home, and for me, that means having a team that understands both the skies and what it means to be Zimbabwean,” Chivayo stated on X (formerly Twitter).
Loyalty and Beliefs: A Non-Negotiable Requirement
Beyond aviation expertise, Chivayo has made it clear that political allegiance and religious affiliation will play a key role in the selection process. Only ZANU PF supporters will be considered, and he has urged opposition members not to apply. Additionally, he gives preference to members of the Johanne Masowe Church, reflecting his personal beliefs.
