US Travelers Now Need Visas to enter Namibia – In a recent announcement, the Namibian government stated that effective immediately, US tourists will need a visa to enter the country.
This decision coincides with the official inauguration of the newly elected President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, who took office last Friday after her party, SWAPO, secured victory in November.

Travelers arriving in Windhoek, Walvis Bay, or other major borders will have the option to purchase a tourist visa upon arrival.
This new system aims to streamline visa processing for visitors.
In addition to the visa policy change, President Nandi-Ndaitwah has also made significant adjustments to her administration, reducing her cabinet from 21 to 14 ministers.
