A missing two-year-old toddler, Asanda Ndlovu, who was abducted at Meikles Mall on Tuesday, has been found alive, bringing relief to a city that had been on edge for two days.
The child was discovered on Thursday morning at a Harare flat after a community member provided a crucial lead that guided investigators to the location.

According to two technicians from a private security company, the tip-off prompted them to review CCTV footage, which confirmed the toddler’s presence at the flat.
After the informer recognised the child from the clearer footage, the technicians alerted CID Homicide, who moved in swiftly and recovered the child unharmed.
Asanda’s safe recovery has eased widespread anxiety, though investigations into the abduction continue.
