UK Councillor Resigns After Community Discovers His Gay Adult Content Videos Online

UK Councillor Resigns After Community Discovers His Gay Adult Content Videos Online – A newly elected Reform UK councillor has resigned from his position after reports revealed that he also worked as an adult content creator online.
According to reports, Stephen Mousdell, who had recently been elected to represent Haydock in St Helens, appeared in a number of adult videos under the alias “LachlanTaylorUK”.
Reports alleged that some of the content showed Mousdell engaging in explicit adult activity, including clips reportedly filmed outdoors. While there have been no allegations of criminal wrongdoing, reports noted that public sexual activity could potentially fall under offences relating to outraging public decency under UK law.

Mousdell’s online profiles reportedly described him as a gay adult film actor and DJ. Some of the posts also allegedly promoted collaborations and adult content on subscription platforms.
The councillor had won 1,331 votes during last week’s local elections as Reform UK secured major gains in the area, winning 34 out of 48 available seats.
However, following widespread media attention, Mousdell announced on May 15 that he was stepping down from the role.
“It is with sincere regret I am resigning as reform councillor for Haydock Ward,” he said.
“This is due to the immense pressures from the media, from individuals within the town hall, from certain parties and individuals who were not elected as councillor over a conflict of interest with regards to being a public figure in office and doing the Adult profession.”
Mousdell also revealed that the controversy had negatively affected his mental wellbeing and relationship with his partner, Kevin Lee.
“I haven’t been in the right mental state as my depression and anxiety has been awful due to this and my relationship with Kev has been severely damaged and it has to be my number one priority,” he said.
He added: “I can’t put him through any more pain than I already have as it is completely not fair. I love him for standing by me even when times was getting difficult.”
Mousdell had previously defended his work as an adult content creator, saying he had always been “transparent and not ashamed” about it.
“We have full-time jobs and also have adult professions, in which we abide by all EU and UK laws,” he stated.
Reform UK also defended the former councillor, saying: “While Cllr Mousdell’s lifestyle choices may not be to everyone’s taste, he has not broken the law. What consenting adults do in their private lives is their own business.”
The party later added: “It’s a sad state of affairs that a media witch hunt has hounded an elected official out of office because of his private life.”
Reports also noted that Mousdell had previously received the St Helens Mayor’s Good Citizen Award for his service to the borough.
