On Thursday, they defeated Sevilla 3-1 at home, sealing the group-stage run without a single defeat.  Man City amassed a total of 14 points from a possible 18.

Graham Potter’s side finished on top in group E with only a single defeat they suffered from Dinamo Zagreb during the tenure of Thomas Tuchel, who was fired hours after the loss.

Tottenham Hotspurs Possible Round Of 16 Opponents  Tottenham progressed to the knockout stage after a hard effort and nerve-wracking evening in France against Marseille.  Antonio Conte progressed following a 2-1 victory away from home.

On Thursday night, Spurs’ position in Group D changed six times, with three of the four clubs topping the group at some stage in the evening.  However, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s 95th-minute goal secured Tottenhman much needed victory, which witnessed them finishing on top with 11 points.

Having progressed to the next round, Spurs will face one of the following teams; Borussia Dortmund, Club Brugge, Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, RB Leipzig, and AC Milan.  Liverpool’s Possible Opponents

Liverpool’s possible opponents are interesting.  FC Porto, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Benfica are lined up as opponents ready to square off with Jurgen Klopp’s side.  All of the Reds’ opponents have a long-standing history with the English-based side.

Reds have faced FC Porto in each of the three seasons they’ve reached the final under Klopp.  In 2019, Liverpool clashed with Bayern, where it defeated the Bundesliga giants 3-1 on aggregate, cruising to the finals.

If Liverpool are drawn with Real Madrid, it will be a grudge match which Mohamed Salah would openly appreciate to ‘settle the score’.

Last season, Liverpool lost 1-0 to Madrid in the final, and a re-run would see Klopp vying for revenge.
