Liverpool’s possible opponents are interesting. FC Porto, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Benfica are lined up as opponents ready to square off with Jurgen Klopp’s side. All of the Reds’ opponents have a long-standing history with the English-based side.
Reds have faced FC Porto in each of the three seasons they’ve reached the final under Klopp. In 2019, Liverpool clashed with Bayern, where it defeated the Bundesliga giants 3-1 on aggregate, cruising to the finals.
If Liverpool are drawn with Real Madrid, it will be a grudge match which Mohamed Salah would openly appreciate to ‘settle the score’.
Last season, Liverpool lost 1-0 to Madrid in the final, and a re-run would see Klopp vying for revenge.
