Two Young Men Sentenced to 50 Years for Violent Crimes in Beatrice

In Beatrice, Conrade Moyo (22) and Milford Sudhakwa (23) have been sentenced to a total of 50 years in prison after being found guilty of a series of violent crimes.
Their actions took place on the night of March 6, 2026, and included multiple break-ins, robberies, and thefts.
The two men, along with an accomplice still at large, conducted a pre-planned attack on homes and businesses in the area.
Armed with machetes, an axe, a knife, and a bolt cutter, they forcefully entered several properties.
At Tavistock Farm, they attacked the bar owner, Brian Masiwo, injuring him with a stab wound to the shoulder.
The gang then moved on to nearby homes, where they threatened residents with knives and demanded cash and valuables. During their spree, they stole cellphones, clothing, and money.
Local police acted quickly after receiving reports from the community. With the help of residents, officers arrested Moyo and Sudhakwa, while their accomplice escaped. A search of the area recovered $780, 110 ZiG, several cellphones, and the weapons used in the crimes.
The court convicted the two men on 11 counts, which included eight counts of unlawful entry, two counts of robbery, and one count of theft.
They received a 65-year sentence, but 15 years were suspended, leaving them with 50 years to serve.
