Two Suspects Arrested in Alleged Gang R@pe of Social Media Personality Mai Jeremaya, Investigators Confirm

HARARE – Matrix Private Detectives have confirmed the arrest of Thabo Blessing Dube (27) and Martin Charli for allegedly orchestrating a gang r@pe against social media personality Mai Jeremaya.

Investigators say the suspects posed as potential clients seeking social media advertisements to lure her into a staged business meeting.

Both men are currently being held at Waterfalls Police Station as authorities continue their probe.

Authorities suspect that over 50 women may have fallen victim to the same suspects, but many have yet to come forward.

Investigators linked the suspects to a phone number associated with a South African profile picture, showing luxury vehicles labeled “Sam 1.” Matrix detectives successfully tracked the number, uncovering alarming details now part of the criminal probe.

According to Crime Watch Zimbabwe, Mai Jeremaya broke her silence, revealing that she had been targeted by the suspects for weeks.

She stated that they pretended to be professionals, first posing as representatives of Elite Driving School before later claiming to own a trucking spare parts company to lure her into a staged business meeting.

On April 30, believing she was attending a legitimate business meeting in Eastlea, she walked into what she thought was an office.

Instead, she found herself trapped in a locked room as the suspects took turns assaulting her while threatening her life.

Following the attack, she filed a police report and received medical attention at Edith Clinic in Mbare.

The case is now moving to court, with the first hearing scheduled for next week.

Fearing for her safety, she enlisted the help of legal experts Tafadzwa Chidawa and Clarah Manyepera, who facilitated the swift arrest of the suspects.

Mai Jeremaya believes dozens of other women were targeted and is urging victims to come forward.

According to Matrix Private Investigations, the suspects’ phone book contains more than 50 contacts linked to similar incidents.

Victims can report anonymously by contacting Matrix Private Investigations or reaching out to her manager, Victor (+263774189186).

She has stated that she and her husband will not be taking calls as they focus on seeking justice.
