Two Feared Dead in Early Morning Crash Along Harare–Mutoko Highway – At least two people are feared dead following a road traffic accident that occurred early Wednesday morning along the Harare–Mutoko Highway.
The incident reportedly took place near the old tollgate site in Chishawasha, when a lorry transporting tomato farmers and their produce from Mutoko to Mbare Musika veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
An eyewitness who spoke to reporters described the scene as tragic and chaotic, with the vehicle sustaining extensive damage upon impact.
The eyewitness also indicated that emergency services were yet to arrive at the time of their report.
As of now, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has not yet released an official statement confirming the number of casualties or the cause of the crash.
Authorities are expected to provide further details as investigations unfold.
