Two CID Homicide Detectives Shot D€ad in Zaka Identified – The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the tragic deaths of two detectives from its Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Homicide Division who were fatally shot while on duty in Zaka District.
The deceased officers have been identified as Bernard Chindeke (38) and McKenzie Chitowe (42). The two were attached to the CID Homicide Division based in Harare.
According to preliminary reports, the detectives had tracked two armed robbery suspects to Ndume Village in Masvingo Province when the shooting occurred.

It is alleged that the suspects opened fire during the operation, fatally wounding both officers.
Authorities have since launched a manhunt for the suspects, who remain at large.
