Trump to Attend FIFA World Cup 2026 Final, Says Infantino – FIFA President Gianni Infantino has confirmed that United States President Donald Trump will attend the FIFA World Cup 2026 final scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium.
Speaking during an interview with Fox & Friends, Infantino revealed that he and Trump will watch the final together and jointly present the trophy to the tournament winners.
“We will be together with the president [Trump] enjoying the final and handing the trophy to the winner, of course, together,” said Infantino. “We are together all the time.”
The FIFA president highlighted the close working relationship he shares with Trump, adding that the successful organisation of the tournament in the United States would not have been possible without the president’s support and involvement.
The announcement follows discussions surrounding last year’s FIFA Club World Cup trophy presentation after Chelsea FC defeated Paris Saint-Germain in New Jersey.

During the ceremony, Trump joined FIFA officials in presenting the trophy to Chelsea captain Reece James and remained on stage during the team’s celebrations.
While FIFA presidents traditionally hand over the World Cup trophy, heads of state have also participated in presentations at previous tournaments.
