Truck Rams into Train in Kadoma After Driver Loses Control

Truck Rams into Train in Kadoma After Driver Loses Control – A dramatic incident occurred late last night in Kadoma when a lorry carrying sand collided with a moving train at a rail-road level crossing.
According to the National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ), the crash happened at approximately 11:50 PM after the driver lost control of the vehicle as it approached the crossing.
Realizing the danger, both the driver and his passenger reportedly jumped out of the truck moments before it slammed into the last two wagons of the train.

The two men were taken to a local hospital where they received treatment and were later discharged.
NRZ has once again emphasized the importance of exercising extreme caution near all level crossings, urging motorists to avoid using defective vehicles and to respect railway safety measures.
This incident comes just days after another serious crash in Harare, where six people were injured when a Honda Fit attempted to beat an oncoming train at the Chiremba Road level crossing.
That vehicle was struck head-on and thrown off the tracks, in what is believed was caused by ignoring railway crossing protocols.
NRZ continues to call on drivers to prioritize safety and avoid taking unnecessary risks at rail-road intersections.
