Ti-Gonzi Arrested for Reckless Driving and Drug Possession
Multi-talented rapper and songwriter Ti-Gonzi was arrested in Mbare, Harare, for reckless driving and drug possession.
The 29-year-old, whose real name is Patrick Kauma Tarugarira, was pulled over at the Cripps and Remembrance Roads intersection, near Mupedzanhamo.
According to the Herald, Traffic officers noticed his erratic driving and stopped him. During a search of his black Mercedes Benz, they discovered a half bottle of Benylin cough syrup, two twist preparations of dagga, and two sachets containing drugs.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed Ti-Gonzi’s arrest.
“The individual was taken into custody for contravening multiple sections of the Road Traffic Act, Chapter 13:11. These included reckless driving (Section 53), operating a vehicle without a driver’s licence (Section 6), failing to comply with police instructions (Section 72), and possession of illegal drugs.”
