Thief Forced to Eat Human Waste
Courtroom drama unfolded in Bulawayo when a convicted thief, Moses Makoni (30), alleged that the complainant, Joyce Mudenda (44), assaulted him and forced him to eat human waste after catching him red-handed.
Makoni, a man of no fixed abode, was convicted of theft by Magistrate Maxwell Ncube after admitting to breaking into Mudenda’s home in Parklands on November 30. He stole two buckets, a wheelbarrow, and an umbrella.
“I admit to the theft, but when I was caught, I was beaten and forced to eat faeces,” Makoni told the court in his mitigation plea, shocking those in attendance.
Magistrate Ncube advised Makoni to lodge a police report regarding his claims of abuse but proceeded to convict him for unlawful entry and theft.
Mudenda has yet to respond to the serious allegations, while Makoni’s claims are now in the hands of the authorities.
