“The Dead Were Laughing”: Roman Sister & Undertaker Recalls Spine-Chilling Mortuary Encounters While on Duty in Mortuary

“The Dead Were Laughing”: Roman Sister & Undertaker Recalls Spine-Chilling Mortuary Encounters While on Duty in Mortuary – Madam Phillipina, a devout Roman sister who also prepares bodies for burial, has revealed tales of the dead coming back to life aren’t just myths.
In a gripping video seen by Afrogazette, the seasoned undertaker recounted one of her most unnerving moments inside a Ghanaian mortuary.
Arriving around midnight with a trainee to collect and prepare a body for the next day’s burial, she said the mortuary attendant stepped out, leaving them in charge.
Before beginning the ritual, she led with prayer—a practice she insists on before handling any body. Then, she asked her assistant to fetch water to bathe the corpse.

What happened next sent chills down their spines.
“Suddenly, while we were working, we heard laughter—not just one, but from several dead bodies,” she said.
Her assistant, overwhelmed with fear, bolted out of the room, abandoning her. But Phillipina stood firm. Having encountered similar phenomena in the past, she remained calm.
“The guy ran away, leaving me. But I didn’t go anywhere. I’ve seen worse,” she stated boldly.
Madam Phillipina revealed that this wasn’t an isolated incident. “Sometimes you would even go to the mortuary only to see a dead body standing,” she claimed, adding that people should not dismiss the spiritual mysteries surrounding death.
She urged Ghanaians to take such testimonies seriously, emphasizing that many unusual things do happen around the dead. “Everything people say about the dead crying or rising is true. I have witnessed it,” she said.
