Tenant’s Relatives Dump C0rpse at K!ller Landlord Marara’s Home – Tensions continue to rise in Chihota after a dramatic confrontation saw mourners deliver the body of Tendai Nenguwo, a late kombi conductor, to the home of his alleged k!ller, former police officer Crispen Marara.
Tendai, who d!ed on April 13 at Chitungwiza Central Hospital, had reportedly been assaulted in January by the Marara and four accomplices over allegations of misusing US$560 in rental payments.
While Marara has since appeared in court on murd£r charges, his alleged accomplices remain at large.
The emotional protest unfolded last Thursday during Tendai’s funeral procession to Gadzikwa village, under Chief Nenguwo’s area.

Along the way, his colleagues—mainly kombi drivers and touts from Zengeza—took a detour and delivered the coffin to Marara, the landlord’s home in Marara village as a symbolic act of outrage.
The gesture sparked immediate backlash. The Marara’s family swiftly lodged a complaint with Chief Nenguwo, who has summoned both families to appear before his traditional court on Saturday.
“It is taboo to take a deceased’s body to the alleged murd£rer’s home,” warned Chief Nenguwo as reported by H Metro.
“The case is before the criminal court, and no judgment has been delivered. The family had no right to act this way.”
The Nenguwo family has expressed regret over the incident, distancing themselves from the decision.
“To us, it’s now double trouble,” said a family member. “We were still mourning when we got summoned to the Chief’s court. Tendai’s friends acted on their own—we didn’t agree to it.”
In a related case ,a dispute over a change transaction turned deadly for a man in Chinhoyi, who suffered a violent attack by the shop owner, resulting in a head injury from a stone and being stabbed with his own knife.
The alleged assailant is 28-year-old Moreblessing Sekerani, while the victim is Jimmy Makiwa, also 28, from Witchwood Farm in Chinhoyi.
Sekerani faced Chinhoyi magistrate Nyasha Marufu, who ordered him to remain in custody while recovering in his hospital bed at Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital.
