Takura Announces Retirement from Music ‘AGAIN’

AFRO-POP star Takura has upset some of his fans by announcing, once again, that he is retiring from music. This announcement came after he released his latest ten-track album, “Pariah.”

Takura shared the news on his social media, mentioning that he has tried to retire four times before. He cited his struggles with mental health and drug addiction as reasons affecting his career.

“Just dropped my last project on YouTube titled ‘Pariah,’ go check it out,” he wrote on Instagram. The album includes ten songs and features artists like Nutty O and the Zimpraise choir.

In October, 2023 Takura also claimed he was stepping away from music but later released an EP.

In February 2024, he revealed again his decision to retire from music, citing mental health concerns. He later shared on social media that he had completed a rehabilitation program.

Takura made the retirement announcement on Instagram, where he also spoke about the importance of men’s mental health. He mentioned that he had initially intended to release new music but ultimately chose to step away instead.

Many fans supported Takura’s decision, emphasizing the importance of mental health and the need for healing. However, some expressed hope that he would return to music in the future.

Now, many fans are wondering if this latest announcement is just another promotional tactic.
