McTominay’s winner was his fourth crucial goal in recent games, after scoring twice to turn around a defeat against Brentford and netting twice against Chelsea in the FA Cup. The win moves United up to sixth place on 41 points, five points behind Villa. Hojlund’s impressive run of goalscoring form, combined with McTominay’s ability to score vital goals, gives United the confidence they need to continue their push for Champions League qualification.
