South African Actress Thuli Phongolo & Scott Sakupwanya Dismiss Dating Rumors – South African actress and DJ Thuli Phongolo has firmly denied claims that she is romantically involved with Zimbabwean businessman and ZANU PF Member of Parliament for Mabvuku Tafara, Scott Sakupwanya.
Addressing the rumors on Instagram, Phongolo wrote:
“Let me indulge you for a sec. You guys need to stop trying to link me to people I wouldn’t even consider dating… I’m not dating Scott Kupa. The end.”
The speculation stemmed from online chatter suggesting that the actress had moved on from her previous relationship with DJ Maphorisa and was now dating Sakupwanya, who had allegedly bought her a Lamborghini and funded her recent luxurious trip to Dubai.

Adding fuel to the fire, controversial South African blogger Musa Khawula claimed that Sakupwanya was Thuli’s new love interest and had been spoiling her with lavish gifts.
However, Sakupwanya, through his representatives at Lhalys Media, also denied any relationship with the actress.
“On behalf of our esteemed client, Honourable Scott Sakupwanya, we clarify that recent reports alleging relationships with certain individuals are entirely false. He has not met the named individual and has no intention of doing so,” read the statement.
They further emphasized that Sakupwanya’s resources are solely dedicated to youth development in Zimbabwe, and not to personal or social entanglements.
Despite the rumors and gossip swirling online, both parties have made it clear: there is no relationship between Thuli Phongolo and Scott Sakupwanya.
