South Africa: Prophet Jailed for Life After Brutal Murd£r of Woman & Daughter – Self-proclaimed prophet Mothupi Tau Talane (35) has been slapped with multiple life sentences by the Polokwane High Court for the brut@l kill!ng of Hellen Teiwa Malepe (37) and her daughter Kgaugelo Malepe (20) during a so-called r!tual session at The Oaks Village near Hoedspruit.
Talane had been invited for a consultation on 29 December 2023, but the visit turned deadly when he suddenly became violent.

A five-year-old child who was tied up inside the house survived and later assisted police with details of the att@ck.
Before she died at a nearby clinic, Hellen managed to tell relatives what had happened.
Kgaugelo, a second-year student at Tshwane University of Technology, was found dead inside the home.
Maruleng Local Municipality Mayor Cllr Tsheko Musolwa welcomed the ruling, saying:
“This sentence sends a strong message that crimes against women and children will not be tolerated. We commend the police for their thorough investigation.”
He added that he hoped the Malepe family would find comfort knowing “the monster who did this will spend the rest of his life behind bars.”
Residents in The Oaks expressed relief:
“We are grateful justice has finally been served. Our community has been living in fear since the incident,” said one villager.
Talane was arrested soon after the att@ck with the help of community members. The High Court ruled that the life sentences will effectively keep him behind bars for the rest of his life.
