Simba Bhora Bolsters Squad with 14 New Signings Amidst Player Exodus

Reigning Premier Soccer League champions Simba Bhora are embracing a new era, undeterred by the departure of 14 key players, including Soccer Star of the Year Walter Musona.
The exodus, which includes Tymon Machope, Tichaona Chipunza, and goalkeeper Talbert Shumba, has not prompted panic buttons at the Shamva-based club.
Instead, Simba Bhora president Simba Ndoro expressed optimism about the team’s future, citing the arrival of fresh talent.
“We are obviously disappointed that some players left after we worked very well with them to bring the success we got last season. But that is football, and as a club, we can only wish them well in their future endeavors,” Ndoro said.
Ndoro revealed that the club has secured 14 new signings, including highly-rated Blessed Ndereki from Yadah, and the Bikita Minerals duo of Carlos Makambira and Barnabas Mutuche. Exciting winger Tinotenda Meke has also joined from Ngezi Platinum Stars, alongside Trevor Mavhunga from Manica Diamonds.
“We have started the process of rebuilding, and I believe the players that are coming in are good enough,” Ndoro emphasized. “We are assembling a squad that we feel will be able to defend the league title as well as compete well in the Caf Champions League.”
The club’s recruitment drive continues, with Dynamos’ Donald Mudadi and Caps United goalkeeper Tonderai Mateyaunga reportedly on board. Manica Diamonds midfielder Liberty Chakoroma is also rumored to be joining the team.
Under the guidance of new coach Joel Luphahla, Simba Bhora is poised to embark on a new chapter, determined to defend their league crown and make a statement in the Caf Champions League.
