Sia’s Ex-Husband Seeks Over $250,000 a Month in Spousal Support
...to Maintain Luxurious Lifestyle They Shared During Marriage

The estranged husband of Australian singer Sia, Daniel Bernard, has requested more than $250,000 per month in spousal support, according to court documents filed in the US.
Sia, whose full name is Sia Furler, is known for her hit songs like “Chandelier” and “Titanium.” She filed for divorce from Bernard in March, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

In the legal filings, Bernard, a former doctor, stated that he needs the substantial monthly support to maintain the “luxurious and upper-class lifestyle” they enjoyed during their marriage. He claimed he became financially dependent on Sia after leaving his job to help run a brief medical business with her.
Bernard detailed that their monthly expenses exceeded $400,000 for private jets, vacations, fine dining, and several full-time staff members. He noted, “We never needed to monitor our living expenses.”
At 47, he emphasized that the temporary support he seeks is essential because Sia, 49, was the primary earner in their marriage.
Bernard, a former radiation oncologist, also mentioned that he would need several years of training and exams to regain his medical certification and practice again, BBC reports.
Additionally, he is asking for extra funds to cover legal fees and forensic accounting costs. Sia’s representatives have been approached for comments on the matter.
