Shamva Woman’s Bre@sts Mysteriously Grow to One Metre

Shamva Woman’s Bre@sts Mysteriously Grow to One Metre & Continue Growing – A 36-year-old woman from Shamva in Mashonaland Central is living with an unusual and painful condition—her bre@sts have grown to nearly one metre in length and are still growing.
They now reach close to her knees and frequently bleed, causing her severe physical and emotional distress.
Marbel Manyaura, who was once married in Hwedza, now resides in Seke with her elder sister, Ottillia Kachanzi (45), in Sabhuku Tekedza village.
She says her condition began when she was just 18 years old, as her bre@sts grew disproportionately compared to her peers.
“I was born in Mushowani, Shamva, and raised with six siblings. Our parents have since passed away. At around 18, I noticed my bre@sts growing abnormally fast.
But it worsened in 2023 when they began swelling painfully and lengthening continuously. Now they are nearly a metre long, and I fear they might eventually drag on the ground,” she shared to Kwayedza.
The condition led to the breakdown of her marriage with Edmond Hwande, who left her because of the health issue.

“I had my first child in Hwedza, who is now three years old. Since then, my bre@sts became more swollen and elongated. I cannot bre@stfeed either of my two children, including my seven-month-old baby, because no milk comes out. I bleed heavily from my bre@sts, losing up to five litres of blood at times,” she said.
She added that the pain is constant, she cannot wear bras, and the weight makes it hard for her to work or even move around freely.
With no stable shelter, Marbel now lives with her sister after briefly returning to her late parents’ home in Mushowani. She feels humiliated and isolated, saying people point at her in public and accuse her of being cursed or possessed by evil spirits.
Her sister, Ottillia, confirmed that the problem started when Marbel was 18 and has since worsened.
“She’s the youngest in the family, and we are now her only support. Her children have no food or clothing, and she needs urgent help to get treated.”
Marbel said she once visited Karanda Mission Hospital in Mt Darwin but was told she needed US$250 for treatment—a sum she could not afford.
Medical professionals say her case is serious. Gynecologist Dr. Abigail Jemedze stressed that Marbel must be examined by bre@st specialists and undergo scans.
General surgeon Dr. Innocent Kundiona added that she might be suffering from breast cancer or a severe ulcer and urged her to go to the Bre@st Clinic at Parirenyatwa Hospital in Harare.
