Security guard faces multiple sodomy charges lnvolving three coworkers
HWANGE – A 49-year-old security guard from Hwange has been remanded in custody until October 25 for allegedly sodomizing three young men aged 17, 18, and 19 who were his coworkers at the workplace on different occasions.
The accused person was arraigned before the Hwange Magistrate’s Court facing four counts of aggravated indecent assault.
The State alleges that on August 10, 2024, the accused person offered accommodation to the 17-year-old complainant who had recently secured a job at his workplace.
The court heard that, on the following night, the accused person allegedly had anal sexual intercourse with the complainant without his consent while they were asleep in the accused’s bedroom.
The complainant confided in his friend and workmate, who advised him to start sleeping in tight-fitting clothes to deter the accused person.
However, the accused person allegedly had sexual intercourse with the complainant again on August 13, 2024.
It is further alleged that the accused person indecently assaulted two additional male colleagues ages 18 and 19 using the same method on August 15 and August 25, 2024 respectively.
He was advised to apply for bail at the High Court.
