Security Company Employee Vanishes with Over $3K in Alleged Theft

HARARE – The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is appealing for public assistance in locating David Mutanda, who is wanted in connection with a case of theft.
Authorities allege that between January 5, 2024 and June 24, 2024, Mutanda unlawfully converted US$3,921.23 for personal use after collecting the funds from debtors on behalf of a private security company.
In a statement shared on their official Twitter account, the ZRP disclosed that Mutanda’s last known address is 10930 Tofire Street, Zengeza 4, Chitungwiza.
Police are urging members of the public who may have relevant information regarding his whereabouts to report to the nearest police station.
Investigations are ongoing as authorities intensify efforts to apprehend the suspect.
Law enforcement has reiterated its commitment to combating financial crimes and ensuring justice is served.
