Revenge or Regret? Jilted Lover Exposes Affair Over Laptop Dispute

A Beitbridge immigration officer exposed his two-year affair with a police officer’s wife after she refused to return a laptop he had given her as a gift during their relationship.

Nhlanganisi Sibanda, stationed at Beitbridge Border Post, had been secretly involved with Tafadzwa Sigauke since 2023.

Their affair abruptly ended when Tafadzwa decided to cut ties, citing growing guilt and pressure from Sibanda to continue the relationship.

After the breakup, Sibanda demanded that Tafadzwa return the laptop he had gifted her.

When she refused, he retaliated by exposing their relationship to her husband.

Tafadzwa admitted receiving the laptop as a gift but had told her husband that she bought it on an installment plan.

However, as guilt over the affair grew and Sibanda continued to pressure her, she decided to end the relationship.

“The guilt was overwhelming and I had to end things. But I never expected him to react this way—it was childish and unnecessary,” she stated.

iHarare reported that Tafadzwa’s husband is furious and considering legal action against Sibanda, adding another layer to the fallout.

Sibanda declined to comment when approached about the matter.

As tensions escalate, the exposed affair underscores the risks of secret relationships and the lasting impact of betrayal.
