Kidnappers Murder 19-Year-Old Nigerian Student Despite Ransom Payment
Ransom Paid, Victim Murdered New details have emerged about the brutal killing of 19-year-old student Anas Zubairu by kidnappers in Nasarawa State.
Zubairu, a student at a Moroccan university, was kidnapped last Friday evening around 6 p.m. in Lafia while visiting his family on holiday. After spending a few hours with them, he left the house and parked his car to close the gate. The kidnappers, hiding nearby, seized this moment to attack, shooting him in the left shoulder.
They then dragged him away to an undisclosed location.
Five days later, the kidnappers contacted Zubairu’s family, demanding a ransom of N30 million. After tense negotiations, the amount was reduced to N17 million, which the family quickly paid. However, two days after the ransom payment, the kidnappers went silent. The family received no further communication.
Then, early Sunday morning, the kidnappers broke their silence. They delivered the devastating news: Zubairu was dead. Ransom Paid, Victim Murdered
