The Case Against Bushiri

Bushiri and his wife face charges of fraud, money laundering, and violating the Prevention of Organized Crime Act. The NPA alleges that the aircraft was acquired using illicit funds, making it a key focus of their investigation.

The Sale Process

The NPA will appoint the National Aircraft Corporation to manage the sale, with proceeds supporting ongoing asset recovery efforts linked to Bushiri’s alleged financial crimes.

Current Status

Bushiri is currently in Malawi, and South African authorities are working towards his extradition. This court ruling marks a significant step in South Africa’s legal proceedings against him.
