President Mnangagwa’s $2M Tipper Truck Initiative Fuels Youth Empowerment

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment with the distribution of tipper trucks under the US$2 million Presidential Youth Fund.

The initiative aims to equip young entrepreneurs with essential resources to expand businesses, particularly in sectors such as construction, mining and transportation.

According to ZBC News, President Mnangagwa emphasized the significance of youth in driving economic growth.

He urged young people to embrace hard work and integrity while steering clear of corruption, stressing that sustainable national development relies on the active participation of youth in economic activities.

The tipper trucks, designed for heavy-duty transport, will support youth-led businesses in hauling large-scale materials for key industries.

The first batch has been allocated to Bulawayo, Matabeleland North, and Matabeleland South provinces, where some beneficiaries have already secured contracts with mining companies—providing immediate income-generation opportunities and fostering business expansion.

By facilitating access to critical machinery, the government continues to strengthen youth-led enterprises and promote economic growth.

This initiative aligns with broader efforts to ensure business sustainability, encourage entrepreneurship and create long-term employment opportunities across Zimbabwe.
