President Mnangagwa Pitches Zimbabwe as Investment Hub at Expo 2025

President Emmerson Mnangagwa reaffirmed Zimbabwe’s readiness to welcome foreign investment, trade, and partnerships—emphasizing the country’s commitment to sustainable socio-economic development built on mutual benefit.
He delivered the message yesterday at the Zimbabwe Business Forum in Osaka, Japan, held on the sidelines of the World Expo 2025.
Addressing Japanese and Zimbabwean business delegates drawn from key sectors including mining, agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism, the President stressed the urgency of strengthening bilateral trade.
“Opportunity lies not only in what exists today but in what we can build together.
“I have come with a clear message. Zimbabwe is open for business, investment, trade, innovation, and partnerships that focus on sustainable growth and mutual benefit,” he said.
The President urged both countries to align their economic cooperation with the strong diplomatic ties they already enjoy.
“Concerted efforts must be made to improve the trade relations between Zimbabwe and Japan so that they match the cordial political relationship that exists between our two countries,” he added.
According to Chronicle, the forum was a strategic effort to position Zimbabwe as an investment destination of choice.
The President’s remarks highlighted Zimbabwe’s push to attract global investment and deepen trade ties with Japan, using Expo 2025 as a platform to build long-term economic partnerships.
