Police Launch Manhunt for Three Suspects in Zhombe Murder Case

KWEKWE – Police in Kwekwe are appealing for public assistance in locating three suspects wanted in connection with the murder of Shepherd Mavhangira (45), who was killed at Mushange Business Centre, Zhombe, on March 13, 2025.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) identified the suspects as Kenias Mapfumo, Armstrong Marumahoko, and Mathias Tatenda Dhlamini.

According to a statement posted on the ZRP’s official Twitter handle, the suspects allegedly attacked Mavhangira with bricks, striking him on the forehead, thigh, and left bicep. The victim died on the spot.

Police reports indicate that the altercation began when Mavhangira attempted to stop the suspects from throwing bricks at patrons who were drinking at a bar.

The situation escalated, resulting in the fatal attack.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspects to report to the nearest police station.
