Police Investigate Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident Along Harare–Mutare Road – The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has launched investigations into a fatal hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of a 21-year-old man along the Harare–Mutare Road.
The deceased has been identified as Walter Masuku of Raffingora, who was reportedly on industrial attachment in Rusape.
According to reports, the incident occurred on 18 May at the 148-kilometre peg when Walter was allegedly struck by a speeding vehicle while attempting to cross the road. The motorist reportedly failed to stop after the collision.
Walter sustained severe head injuries and died at the scene.

Police have confirmed that investigations are underway, while family members expressed deep sadness over the tragedy and indicated that they suspect there may be circumstances surrounding the incident that require further investigation.
Authorities have appealed to members of the public with information that may assist the case to report to the nearest police station.
