In a heated courtroom battle, Plaxedis Kumbirayi Munyaradzi, a teacher from Mzilikazi High School in Bulawayo, dragged five colleagues to court, accusing them of sexual harassment and defamation. Nudes harassment and courtroom chaos.
Munyaradzi claimed that Ruth Muzanangwo had obtained her nude photos from her ex-lover’s wife and repeatedly threatened to leak them online.
Muzanangwo also allegedly spread rumors that Munyaradzi had been sexually abused by her former partner, though she denied the accusations, dismissing them as pure fabrication.
“I don’t even know her ex-lover,” Muzanangwo said in court. “She’s imagining things.”
Next, Lawrence Mashakani took the stand, facing claims that he sent sexually suggestive messages to Munyaradzi and once rubbed his genitals against her buttocks in the staffroom. Mashakani denied the charges, claiming he avoided her after a fallout.
Munyaradzi also sought a peace order against Nokuthula Hlabangana, accusing her of spreading gossip about her relationship with a married man and sharing her nude photos with others.
Hlabangana, along with Constance Sibanda, the wife of Munyaradzi’s ex-lover, and the ex-lover himself, Erick Ngwenya, all denied any wrongdoing.
Despite the denials, the presiding magistrate, Challenge Mahembe, granted Munyaradzi a peace order, instructing all involved to stop the verbal and emotional abuse and maintain peace with her.
