Nisha Ts Mourns NashTV Shutdown: A Mixture of Sadness and Gratitude
Businessman Tinashe Mutarisi’s company, Nash Holdings has announced the immediate closure of its entertainment operations under the NashTV brand.
This decision, rooted in the evolution from Nash Lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic, has left a significant mark on Zimbabwe’s creative landscape, particularly among local artists like Saintfloew, Nisha Ts, Raymer Official, and Ninety6.
In a statement posted on Facebook, it noted that ‘although music was never the primary focus of NashTV, the platform played a crucial role in elevating local talent through effective marketing, management, and promotion.’
In light of this transition, all previously managed artists have been notified, and Nash Holdings has pledged to support them as they forge their own paths.
“While stepping away from direct management, will continue to offer guidance, help them build their own recording studios and secure new professional managers, and we ask for your support as we refocus on mentoring entrepreneurs and growing Zimbabwean enterprise,” read the statement.
However, Local star Nisha Ts took to social media to share her emotional response to the closure, writing,
“It’s difficult to put into words what this moment feels like. The news of Nashtvzimbabwe ‘s shutdown hit me with a mix of sadness, gratitude, and deep reflection.
