Nigerian man kills mother in occult ritual for wealth

NIGERIA – A Nigerian young man has been arrested recently by the Delta State Police Command for allegedly stabbing his mother to death in a suspected ritual killing.

Sources close to the family claim that a young man allegedly tricked his mother to accompany him on a walk before stabbing her in the neck from behind.

“The boy was walking with his mother when he allegedly stepped back and stabbed her in the neck with a sharp knife,” said Ovo, a family member.

“Hearing the mother’s screams, bystanders rushed to the scene, restrained the boy, and injured his leg with the same knife to prevent escape.”

Ovo added, “The suspect was handed over to the police and subsequently transferred to the hospital for treatment after providing a statement to investigators.”

An individual involved in the suspect’s handover to police revealed that the suspect confessed to being instructed by a Ghanaian ritualist to attack his mother in exchange for wealth.

“The suspect mentioned that he was instructed by a ritualist in Ghana to murder his mother and retrieve particular body parts, allegedly for ritual purposes,” the source said.

Kevwe, another eyewitness revealed that the mother’s remains were taken to the morgue.
