Newlyweds spend their wedding night at a hospital after wedding venue collapses on them

A newly-wed Italian couple, Paolo Mugnaini and Valeria Ybarra, both 26, were forced to spend their wedding night in a hospital after the venue floor collapsed at a former Giaccherino Covent in Pistoia, Italy.

The convent, which dates back to the early 15th century, closed down after 35 people, including a child, suffered injuries during the incident.

Among those present at the wedding, six suffered grave injuries, and ten were moderately harmed.

Everyone was taken to San Jacopo Hospital in Pistoia for medical attention, and three days after the disaster, three remained in the hospital, including one pregnant woman, but all were in stable shape.
