Munyaradzi Nzarayapenga and Associates Foiled in Attempt to Seize Botha Gold Mine

High Court Judge Justice Musithu has delivered a decisive blow to Munyaradzi Nzarayapenga and his associates, nullifying their claims to control Botha Gold Mine in Bindura.
This decision comes after it was revealed that two court orders obtained by Nzarayapenga’s group were fraudulent, and aimed to grant them full control of the company.
In a statement released by the Botha Gold Mine Communications and Community Affairs Department, the court orders, HCH4802/24 and HCH4252/24, have since been rescinded by Judge Msithu under HCH5865/24.
“The public is warned that the miscreant minority shareholders, who recently attempted to illegitimately seize control of the company, are not directors and do not represent Side Electrical (Pvt) Ltd. or Botha Gold Mine in any platform,” the statement reads.
The company has identified the individuals involved in the fraudulent activities as Munyaradzi Nzarayapenga, Leonard Rwambiwa, Dudzai Ruzvidzo Kajokoto, Ashley Ziyarura Zulu, Simbarasles Nzenza, and Tendai Chinyani.
“We have reported the fraudulent acts to the Zimbabwe Republic Police, who will be taking the appropriate action,” the statement adds.
Botha Gold Mine has apologised to innocent individuals who may have been maliciously slandered during the debacle, including Mr. Themba Hlongwani and Mrs. Angela Mpofu-Chisvo, who were wrongly accused of misappropriating funds and concealing information.
“We put the record straight that no such incident occurred, and the malicious accusations were perpetrated by devious minority shareholders in a bid to illegitimately acquire control of the company,” the statement emphasizes.
Meanwhile, the company has warned the public not to engage in any business transactions with the identified individuals, as Botha Gold Mine will not be held liable for any consequences arising from such dealings.
“Botha Gold Mine remains committed to operating with transparency, integrity, and accountability,” the statement concludes. “We appreciate the support and understanding of our stakeholders during this challenging period.”
