Muchegwa and Traditional Healer Sekuru Nyangatayani Uplift Orphaned Child With New Home in Chimbuwe
Musician Chipo Muchegwa and Glendale-based traditional healer Sekuru Nyangatayani on Sunday deepened their commitment to supporting vulnerable communities by donating groceries, cash, and a newly built two-roomed house to a five-year-old orphaned girl in Chimbuwe village, Mukumbura.
The child, Mazvitaita Jaisi, has been under the care of her grandmother since birth, following the death of her mother shortly after delivery.
The donation forms part of the duo’s broader mission to uplift people with disabilities and disadvantaged children across Zimbabwe.
During the handover ceremony, Muchegwa reflected on the emotional significance of returning to support the young girl.
She acknowledged Nyangatayani’s enduring generosity and the shared vision that continues to drive their outreach. “I am happy that Sekuru Nyangatayani is continuing with his kind heart to people with disabilities, and today we are here again at Nyangatayani’s place giving to this girl”,said Muchegwa.
Nyangatayani, widely known for his grassroots philanthropy, spoke with conviction about the promise they made to Mazvitaita during a previous visit.
He emphasized that his commitment to helping the needy remains unwavering. “I will continue giving to the needy until I depart from this earth. So today we are giving to this girl we met last year, and we managed to build a house for her”.
According to The Standard, the pair is also supporting 13-year-old Blessing Nelson, a girl with a disability from Masembura village.
Their charitable efforts extend beyond individuals—Nyangatayani has also donated essential supplies to the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services, reinforcing his belief in inclusive care for all sectors of society.
Through their work, Muchegwa and Nyangatayani are not only changing lives—they are setting a standard for what community-driven compassion looks like.
Their actions speak to a deeper truth: that when kindness is consistent and purposeful, it becomes a force that rebuilds futures.
