Missing Boy Found Dead, Mother Accused of Murder

While people were searching for 11-year-old Jayden-Lee Meek, who went missing in May, he was allegedly killed by his mother with a blunt object.

Jayden-Lee disappeared on May 13, shortly after 4 PM, when his school transport dropped him off at the Fleurhof apartment complex.

He was a student at the Royal College in Florida and was never seen again. At the time he went missing, his mother claimed she was working from home and became worried when he did not return.

Tiffany Nicole Dunn Meek, 31, appeared in Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Monday. She faces several charges, including murder and attempting to obstruct justice, IOL reports.

The charge sheet states that the prosecution will show that Meek struck her son with a blunt object, which has not yet been identified.

Police found blood on Jayden-Lee’s bed, and his school clothes, bag, and books were also discovered in the apartment, all showing signs of blood. Forensic evidence suggests that Jayden-Lee was killed in his home.
