Miss Universe Zimbabwe Lyshanda Moyas Departs for Thailand to Compete in Global Pageant

Lyshanda Moyas, the current Miss Universe Zimbabwe, has left for Bangkok, Thailand, to compete in the upcoming Miss Universe pageant.
The 26-year-old beauty queen received a warm farewell at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Harare on Wednesday afternoon.
Family members, including her grandmother, as well as Miss Universe Zimbabwe board members and former titleholders Sakhile Dube and Brooke Bruk-Jackson, were present to support her. Young mothers from the Munondida Foundation also came to wish her luck.
Before her flight, Moyas expressed her excitement about representing Zimbabwe. “I am happy to be representing Zimbabwe. Thank you all for your support. I have worked with many designers on my wardrobe and have a surprise for Zimbabweans,” she said.
She will join 89 contestants from around the world in a bootcamp that begins in Thailand on Thursday.
Sakhile Dube, who placed in the top 30 at last year’s Miss Universe held in Mexico, provided encouragement to Moyas. “All eyes are on Moyas, and we are confident she will win based on the lessons and tips we shared with her,” Dube stated.- Herald
